How many hours will I need to pass my driving test?
|

|
Everyone is different when it comes to driving. Some people always find tasks like driving easy to master from a skill point of view, but may not have the road sense to pass a test. Others may find it easier to show courtesy and respect to other drivers, but struggle to master reversing or dealing with busy roundabouts. Some struggle with everything, others don't struggle at all.
The governments own survey estimates that an average person will take 40 hours plus private practice to pass first time.
Unfortunately, who is average? Now that's a question I can't answer, but I will say that at JDM, we will coach and assess you to become a good and safe driver and to pass your test within the shortest time practical.
How do I buy special offer block booking using my Charity Unleashed Voucher?
Please call us and specify that you would like to use your Charity Unleashed Voucher (CUV) to buy either the 15 hours at the price of 10 (£199) or 30 hours at the price of £20 (£398)
We will take your credit or debit card details and charge you accordingly. We will then send you lesson tokens to the full purchase value and an SAE (Stamped Addressed Envelope)
Please fill in the details on your CUV and send it back to us free of charge. Tokens have serial numbers and if the CUV does not reach us in time, we will not accept the additional free tokens as payment for lessons, so please post it as soon as you can!

Do you provide help for taking my Theory Test?
YES! We have our own CD-ROM and Q&A sheets to lend you as you prepare for your theory test.
However, there are so many books, DVD's and CD-ROM's knocking around which have been used by someone who passed long ago, that you will probably not need too much help.
However, if you do need our help, it is available and it is free.
There are also numerous websites which have very helpful content to help you pass both parts of the Theory Test.

Surely cheaper driving schools are better value than dearer schools and if not, surely dearer schools have better quality than cheaper schools?

There has to be truth in this question, but the answer is far from simple.
For a number of years, there has been a boom in Instructor Training and the number of fully qualified driving instructors in the UK has risen from 33000 a decade ago to over 46000. There has also been a massive increase in the number of trainee instructors
How do you find work for so many new instructors when there are fewer 17 year olds every year is the big problem facing our industry.
Quite simply, the worst or most naive of these new instructors will tend to "GIVE" themselves away at the lowest price whilst the better ones will be confident to charge more.
However, some of the largest companies have much higher overheads and therefore when you pay the highest price, most of the difference is going to the company and not to the instructor. Therfore the best paid instructors and therefore the best quality instructors are usually found at medium sized companies with a fair price structure. Companies like JDM.
