How many hours will I need to pass my driving test?
|
|
|
Everyone is different when it comes to driving. Some people always find tasks like driving easy to master from a skill point of view, but may not have the road sense to pass a test. Others may find it easier to show courtesy and respect to other drivers, but struggle to master reversing or dealing with busy roundabouts. Some struggle with everything, others don't struggle at all.
The governments own survey estimates that an average person will take 40 hours plus private practice to pass first time.
Unfortunately, who is average? Now that's a question I can't answer, but I will say that at JDM, we will coach and assess you to become a good and safe driver and to pass your test within the shortest time practical.
How safe are my Credit and Debit Card details?
We take payments over the phone or in the car. Anything written down will be thoroughly destroyed by ink and shredding. Most payments will be made directly in to the sagepay system and will be unretrieveable by any operator.

Do you provide help for taking my Theory Test?
YES! Our latest method of assisting you (as a JDM customer) is to provide FREE access to a subscription website;
This website has a full range of tutorials and mock testing for both the HPT (hazard) and MCQ (question) sections of the theory test.
Please send your contact details on the website form, below and mention which JDM instructor your are booked with and we will send you a password for free access for one calendar month.
We also have our own CD-ROM and Q&A sheets to lend you as you prepare for your theory test.
However, there are so many books, DVD's and CD-ROM's knocking around which have been used by someone who passed long ago, that you will probably not need too much help.
However, if you do need our help, it is available and it is free.

Will you honour my Charity Unleashed Voucher?
If we have not already agreed a transaction with you before midnight on the 31st August, 2011, then we will NOT accept your charity unleashed voucher. We accepted several deals on the last day and we believe we have fairly honoured our very expensive commitment to the charity.
Will you teach me if I want picking up outside of Sheffield?
We may charge expenses if you ask us to travel beyond our normal covereage areas. No charges will be made to pick ups in S1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,
11,12,13,14,17,18,20,
21, plus most of 35,36 and others within the greater sheffield boundary.
Expenses for longer travel will be equal to at least a half hour each way. | |

Surely cheaper driving schools are better value than dearer schools and if not, surely dearer schools have better quality than cheaper schools?
|
|
|
There has to be truth in this question, but the answer is far from simple.
For a number of years, there has been a boom in Instructor Training and the number of fully qualified driving instructors in the UK has risen from 33000 a decade ago to over 49000. There has also been a massive increase in the number of trainee instructors from a few thousand to up to 50000!!
How do you find work for so many new instructors when there are fewer 17 year olds every year is the big problem facing our industry.
Also in 2011, it was revealed that 20% fewer 17 year olds had even bothered to apply for a provisional licence than in the previous year thanks to fears about university costs and the price of insuring a new driver.
Quite simply, the worst or most naive of these new instructors will tend to "GIVE" themselves away at the lowest price whilst the better ones will be confident to charge more.
However, some of the largest companies have much higher overheads and therefore when you pay the highest price, most of the difference is going to the company, shareholders and directors and not to the instructor. Therfore the best paid instructors and therefore the best quality instructors are usually found at medium sized companies with a fair price structure. Companies like JDM. | | |
